It’s amazing how empty a house can feel just because one little dog is gone….and I’m talking about a dog that I swear slept 16 hours per day! Even though we still have 2 kitties to love on (and we do!!!), we keep looking for Cookie in all of the places she used to settle. Thank you to everyone who acknowledged her passing….it was very hard, but it was the right time….and I feel so much better knowing that we were with her at the end, and not on our trip.
I headed to quilting on Thursday (7/7), without any sense of wanting to go….but at least I wasn’t sitting home crying. We had a bit of show and tell:
and a fabulous lunch (quilters really do make the best food), and I was home around 1:30 PM. I didn’t do much of anything the rest of the afternoon, but Michael and I kept up our newish weekly evening game tradition by playing SCRABBLE:
*** It amazes me how much exercise and extra fries sound alike! ***
It was a beautiful day at Quilt Club…I always feel happy when I get home. I was so proud to show my 2 quilts. And to think, I only just taught myself to sew my 1st stitch in 2020 by watching You Tube!
I loved all of the show and Tell, but especially the cross-stitch stocking (of course), the purple hedgehog (love hedgehogs!), the blue floral quilt, and the blue/green/lavender batik with the embroidery stitches!
I had to reread that funny a couple of times, till I finally got it….slow this morning
when do you leave on the cruise and how long,
What no pics of the food?
