For whatever reason, Michael and I have been going to bed later and later….and Wednesday morning (1/15) I got up only 20 minutes before I was supposed to SKYPE with Janice! I ran around like a crazy person and got my tea made and was just a few minutes late. We talked until 10:30 (Michael left for golf during that time even though it was only 39 degrees outside!) and then Candy came to drop off a quilt.
A lot happened in her life at the end of 2024, and we ended up talking for 1-1/2 hours! She left just as Sandy D arrived to drop off 2 quilts for me to get done! I have a special quilt I’m slipping in on Friday or Saturday, and I told them both about it and they were just fine.
I finally had some breakfast after Sandy left, and made it to my studio around 1:30 PM. I spent the afternoon still working on the Beds=Dreams rainbow quilt and headed back upstairs around 5 PM to make Potato Soup for dinner….it was AWESOME! AND, the best part is there is enough left for another meal or 2.
************************************************
Thursday (1/16) was all about quilting….I took Michael’s sweater again to work on….so I got to sit with and talk to totally different people! We had lovely show and tell:

-June has been taking a class on something called ''graffiti quilting'' and this is the INCREDIBLE result

-the back

After a stop at the library, I was finally home after 3 PM. I just read my book until Michael headed out to pick up ARBY’s fish sandwiches for dinner and we vegged in front of the TV for the evening.
******************************************
Michael headed out with Freya on Friday morning (1/17) even though it was only 39 degrees! I headed downstairs to finish up the last 3 rows on the rainbow quilt.
Paula stopped by with her friend that she is helping with a t-shirt quilt…that is the special quilt I will do next as the woman is under a time crunch and Paula called me a couple of weeks ago to make sure it was ok.
The other thing I am totally excited about is FINALLY getting to work on my project box from the Fiber Floozie retreat in September!!!!! I haven’t wanted to unpack it because I know there are UFO’s in there….and I wanted to get some of my other UFO’s under control. I finally feel ready to start, but I barely made a dent on the box when I decided that I should first get my 2 quilts off of the frame.
I just got that done when my cleaning lady showed up to clean the basement, so I headed upstairs to read my book and wait for Michael to get home. He had a free bucket of popcorn calling his name at one of the movie theatres, so he decided to go to a matinee after running a couple of errands along the way.
He was home around 4 PM and we sat and talked for a long time before having dinner (leftovers) and watching TV.
AND, an evil friend in Connecticut (you know who you are!!!) sent me this picture with the caption '''they are here.....you are not!'' I am bereft!!!
