I got to quilting extra early on Thursday (9/14) to get set up for my class. I had 4 students (plus 1 auditing the class) and we didn’t get as far as I wanted…but one student said those words that are music to my ears….’’I’ve learned so much already!!!”
I had to leave just after NOON to get home to Freya (home alone from 10 AM on and no accidents!!!), and I was glad that all of my students were willing to continue class next week. We had wonderful show & tell:
and a further LOVELY surprise for all of you:
Janice arrived from Ocean Isle Beach just before 4 PM!!!!! We haven’t seen each other in a couple of months (and even though we SKYPE every week, it’s not the same) and we spent a bit of time getting all caught up!
Michael ran and got Chinese food for all of us, and then headed off to rehearsal. Janice got the backing loaded for her quilt, (while Freya slept in her bed):
and then we both collapsed and watched a couple of MIDSOMER MURDERS.
*** The bad news is….I accidentally took the wrong medication today. The good news is…I’m now protected from heartworms and fleas for the next 3 months. ***
Hi Janice. Glad you could come. How long you staying??
I loved all of the Show and Tell, especially the red, white, and blue quilt; both of the sunflower table runners; and the dinosaur quilt (great for a little boys rooms). I hope your weather in SC is as great as ours has been the last few days, warm in the 70's and cool at night with no humidity. YAY! Hi Janice!
Such great quilts. The sunflowers, were they embroidered?
