SHQ Show & Tell, Totally finished quilt = Bugs!,

Writer's picture: dreamsoapsdreamsoaps

Thursday (1/30) was all about quilting…Michael packed up my car and I headed out at 9 AM.  We had lovely show and tell:

and once again, due to the extended hours, I managed to complete binding for another TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT (another Beds=Dreams with blurry cat accent):

I was home by 3:30 and opted to take a quick nap while Michael was out running errands and tooling around :~).  Actually…..I tried to take a nap…..couldn’t fall asleep, so got up and got the backing partially loaded for the GINORMOUS cutomer quilt I will be quilting next!

We had leftovers for dinner, and finished season 2 of ONLY MUDERS IN THE BUILDING…..WOW – what an ending!!!!!

**********************************************

Michael made cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Friday (1/31), so we sat together and ate them and did emails on our devices and I didn’t get downstairs until almost 11 AM…a nice, relaxing morning.

Followed up by spending about an hour on the phone booking THREE MORE doctor visits: CPAP, dentist for a filling, bone density scan.  I remember Michael’s mom complaining that she only left the house for doctor’s visits…and I am certainly beginning to know how she felt!  Michal and I mark our doctor visits in red on our phones…and my phone calendar is a sea of red!!!

I tried to plug in my longarm after that, but the wall plug was so wonky that I couldn’t get my grounded plug in!  My honey came down with some screwdrivers and took off the cover and the plug attached to the 2 by 4 was so loose it was falling off.  It has NEVER been very firm, and after he was finished fixing, I told him the plug was more secure than it has been for the last 10 years!!!!

I finished loading up the next customer quilt after that:

but it was so huge and I was so nervous and spent so much time on setting up the pattern that I didn’t take my first stitch until 3 PM!!!  I worked on it until 7 PM, but considering that there are 29 rows on this thing…I only got about a third of the way done before quitting for another dinner of yummy leftovers (see Janice....still no cooking!!!)

*********************************************

I got up Saturday( 2/1) determined to spend as much time as I could on the new customer quilt.  I kept pushing myself to work on it and had to babysit it towards the end, but by the time I quit before dinner…the quilting was done:

I used a lot of bobbins on this ginormous quilt, so it took quite awhile to get all of the ends woven in, but I got it done:

before Michael and I had salads for dinner and headed to Cross Ridge for an evening with a Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band:

I guess I thought I knew more Springsteen stuff than I actually do, and Michael felt the same way….plus for some reason, I could not get comfortable in the seats….my back/left leg were aching the entire time…..so we decided to leave at intermission and come home for ice cream and TV :~).

BG has named her longarm:

Get it???? Because she had to take down a wall in her house to fit it in.....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Great job motivating yourself to get the quilt done ! It shouldn't have been too hard, cause it's one of your favorite colors ! I hear ya on those dr visits and just making the appts is a chore.
