I was up just after 5 AM on Sunday (12/19)…I just couldn’t sleep any longer. I got some bills paid, and ran through my emails, then headed out to the lanair to watch the sky gradually lighten. I can’t say ‘watch the sun rise’, because it’s a drizzly, gray day. After that I started to sew my QoV rows together, but when Michael got up, we got started on this:
This picture should be labeled ‘’the pancakes were so light and fluffy I didn’t even believe it….and DON”T BUY Harris Teeter bacon….the taste was good, but the slices were thick and thin and it was impossible to cook!’’
After breakfast we started making popcorn…and caramel sauce, and finally got to finish our last bags of candies….caramel popcorn:
The oven was on for almost 3 hours and NO GAS SMELL….YAY!!!
I had hoped to do cookies after that, but was just too tired. I read my book for a bit before heading downstairs to finish sewing all of my blocks together:
We wanted to celebrate our stove problem being fixed, and Michael’s colonoscopy being over….so you know what that means….champagne and puffy things (by the way Anne....we are now out....so if you see them on sale...could you let me know?):
We spent wonderful evening together and I re-claimed more backing fabric from pervious QoV’s.
So, I have to share this comment from yesterday’s blog because it is just perfect…..:
''When You said “but I have had gas all my life” I wanted to suggest Beano or GasEx :~)''
