HAPPY LABOR DAY!! - Michael headed out to golf on Monday (9/6), while I walked down to Paula’s:

I bummed a ride home with a neighbor who is contemplating a shoulder replacement, so we had a long talk in the driveway about recovery. I finally made it in the door just after 10 AM and got my blog out first thing so that I could concentrate on the squiggle quilt for the rest of the day. I have a BA-ZILLION HST’s to trim :~(….can’t wait to learn how to use the ruler with Janice so that in the future I won’t have to trim….it takes FOREVER!!

BUT, the fun news is that I started to layout the squiggle quilt each time I trimmed 8 HST’s:

Can you see why I’m calling it the squiggle quilt? My honey was home around 2 PM, with a score of 83 and one birdie…so the current birdie streak is up to 2!! He continued the layout for me:

In the afternoon I set about getting plane reservations for him to visit AJ. I HATE to do that….we all know flying has changed a ton and not for the better in the last 20 years…well making reservations I find equally stressful. Knowing each moment that one teeny, tiny mistake and we will be eating the cost of the fare…not to mention it is so confusing not even knowing what I am looking at. I get so cranky and nervous when I have to do it….but eventually Michael was booked for the weekend of Sept 24th.

Michael grilled hot dogs and we had them with macaroni salad for dinner, along with sliced tomatoes (check out the size of those dogs!!!):

Our evening consisted of the last 2 episodes of UNFORGOTTEN, while I ironed yet more and more HST's:

Masterpiece Mystery from PBS never disappoints….the latest one is called GUILT and started Sunday night. I think old episodes of UNFORGOTTEN are available on some streaming services…definitely worth looking for.
