I guess my knee didn’t do as well as I thought on the ride home on Saturday, because when I tried to stand up after watching TV for a bit with my honey that night it didn’t work, and was very swollen….but I did do my bike ride Sunday morning (10/1), just a bit shorter than normal. When I had my massage around NOON, my therapist suggested that I ease off and not go bike riding for a day or 2. I spent a bit of the day unpacking, but didn’t get much else done.

I skipped my bike ride on Monday (10/2) and continued to unpack, but also got Sandy’s quilt loaded up:
And here it is again…what is it about kitties and boxes?:
Michael and I had fish for dinner, then he left for rehearsal, and I left for the library and my first beginning knitting class:
I had a wonderful time…and I think my students did too!!! I forgot how much fun it is to teach others to knit!! I was home by 8 PM and vegged until my honey got home around 9:30.

I did a bike ride Tuesday morning (10/3), my knee is definitely still swollen, but not too much, so I did my normal length. My honey was in and out all day walking Freya, hitting the chiro and then performance therapy for his knee…doing a bit of grocery shopping and finally a routine doctor's appointment.
I worked all day on Sandy’s quilt:
and continued to unpack my project box. My honey left for the movies after 6 PM, and I continued to quilt, but at 8:30 PM I finally ran out of steam….with 2-1/2 rows to go.
I headed upstairs after that to knit and wait for him to get home. Speaking of my project box, I made this at retreat:
It definitely needs borders and I like the skinny green, but am not sure about the purple, cut wider for an outer border:
Somehow I think the purple in the quilt is tending towards red, and the purple Michael is holding up for the border is not. Could you please weigh in and let me know what you think (especially you Susie)? I guess I could also border in green and then black instead to kind of frame it.
My honey sent several pics of the ‘’kids’’ while I was at retreat, so I wouldn’t get too lonely:
And one of my binding students totally finished her quilt:
*** My bikini body wasn’t 100% ready for the summer…but my sweatshirt body is good to go. ***
*** My brain said ‘’crunches’’, but my stomach auto-corrected it to ‘’cupcakes’’. ***
I like the green for a border. I agree with Michaelabout the purple but I don't agree with black being to harsh. A tiny 1" of black and then the green would work too.
I love the pictures of the 'furry' kids! The picture with Freya rolling her eyes is a hoot. I really like the green border, but maybe if you had a lighter shade of purple that could work. I think the quilt is great with the rainbow of colors.
I don’t know as much about colors as others, but I love the green. Freya is growing by leaps & bounds!
I think a black border would be too harsh. the green looks good to me and i think you could get away with the purple if perhaps the green was wider.
