Michael was up at 6:30 AM on Saturday (4/1) and out the door shortly afterwards to make his appointment at the Subaru dealer to re-align all of our safety features with the new windshield. It was dark and stormy at home and I had trouble getting started, but finally made it to the studio after 10 AM. I wanted to load up Paula’s quilt first thing…but I never plug XENA in:
when there’s thunder and lightning….I checked the radar and it was supposed to move off by 2 PM, so I continued on the blue quilts. I am really loving putting a tiny inner border on my quilts to kind of frame them:
before working on the outer border.
I paused in the afternoon and after an hour of work, finally got out a blog entry. My friend Susan stopped by for a visit on her way out to dinner with friends…and she looked so pretty I just had to take a pic:
After she left, Ethel settled in on the sofa....I love it when kitties look like they have no bones:
My honey left at 5:30 PM for an audition at FMCP….cross your fingers…he may be in the next show :~). He was home by 7:30 PM and wanted to watch UCONN in the Final Four, so I headed back to the studio and by the time I came upstairs at 10 PM, I had the outer border on both quilts:
Michael really loves these quilts...that blue fabric is AWESOME!!!
*** I’m starting to think I’m built like a cell phone. Even when I charge overnight, I’m already down to 50% by 10 AM. ***
The blue quilt is simply stunning!!!! I agree with Michael, that blue fabric is awesome. It reminds me of an English cottage.
Some old pictures are back, some aren’t? Weird!
You are making me want to cut that fabric for my OBW and get it going.
Just beautiful!! How do you plan to quilt over the embroideries?
