I headed to the hearing aid place on Friday morning (8/12) and my right hearing aid has to be sent out for repair…..AGAIN!!! Then I swung by Loree & Reg’s house to pick up my binding machine (remember how it wasn’t working? Well, it was OPERATOR ERROR….in case you don’t know what that means…it means I made a stupid mistake and had something set up incorrectly…and that was why it didn’t work!!), and after a final stop at the library (Janice…you GOTTA read ABOUT THE AUTHOR by JOHN COLAPINTO when you get back from Maine!!!) I was home after 11 AM. I switched out machines on the kitchen table, and finally started to stitch on the binding for the second QoV. I worked on that on and off in the afternoon, and after stitching down the label while watching TV in the evening, QoV #2 is done:
I got to cut out a new binding after dinner, and Lucy was right by my side:
So, Jerri taught a class last Thursday on a striped quilt. I wasn’t paying much attention because I knew I had no intention of going out and buying striped fabric. While I continued to knit during quilting, I started to think and remembered that when Jan and I taught the HIDDEN WELLS class many years ago, I had a bolt of striped fabric I used in that quilt….so I went to my fabric closet tonight and voila:
If I have time next week I’m going to start the cutting :~).
My friend Mary Lee lost her kitty a bit ago, so she and a friend headed to the shelter in her town yesterday...guess what.....she came home with TWO (a brother and sister):
Nolan is the gray boy and Clementine is the orange girl. And if there's something cuter than 2 kitties asleep in a basket...I don't know what it is:
OK Mary Jo...this one's just for us....
*** What do you do all day?
ME: *Looks around at mess* Honestly, I’m not sure, but it makes me really, really tired. ***
Yes... just recently when I was looking at my MESS, I remembered you wondering what I was looking at when I was working on my quilts ! :) How far of a drive is it from MaryLee ? How great you got to see her ! Do you remember how long it's been ?
Love the sleepers! And always Lucy with you!
