Sunday (7/25) was a quiet day….we had breakfast before Michael decided to re-plant his sunflowers. Unfortunately, we are finding out that he just can’t take the heat like he used to. He got very dizzy and light headed, had another ocular migraine and ended up lying down for about an hour before he finally felt well enough to get up and finish reading the paper.
I headed to the studio after that to get my blog out and start the quilting on my new customer quilt:
I took a picture of the pattern on the computer because we picked such a good thread color that I doubt you could see the pattern on the quilt! There are 30 rows to be done on this quilt….so it will probably take me several days to finish it.
While it was stitching out, I had another shoulder victory of sorts….I cut 6 strips of fabric for a border on my Bento Blocks top. That’s the first time I’ve been able to use a rotary cutter since the surgery and the first time without pain in months and months!!! I still don’t think I can trim quilts (too many layers to go through so I would have to bear down much harder), but I am THRILLED that I can slowly get back into cutting.
Michael had a very late lunch, so I got to continue my quilting until around 7 PM when I headed upstairs. I got ends woven in and a label stitched down while we were watching TV for a totally finished quilt:
*** I finally figured out my body type. It’s hourglass….with lots of extra minutes. ***
The sands of time have shifted!!!!
Love You!!
