It poured all day Tuesday, so I really couldn’t believe it when Michael left for golf at 9 AM on Wednesday (12/27)….surely they’re going to slog through the course! (And they did....he was home before NOON, having only played 9 holes!)
I headed to the studio for more binding….this time on a differently patterned quilt:
These quilts are all being done the same way….I start stitching out a label on my embroidery machine, then start stitching the binding on the back of the quilt. I need the label to be done stitching out, and all cleaned up, before I get to the 4th corner of the quilt :~).
Michael and I ran out in the afternoon to return a library book and get copies of our 2023 yearly missive made….before I returned to sewing once again. I stitched down the label in the evening, for yet another totally finished quilt:
And a blast from the past, 10 years ago (12/27): https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2013/12/clean-up-in-studio-pizza.html
BG has been working away as well at the end of the year....here's a recent finish (isn't that peacock feather fabric gorgeous? It's a very different looking FPF or Four Patch Frenzy):
And, a quilt top she's been wanting to make for a long time is finally started:
*** If I'm up at mid-night on New Year's Eve.....it's because I have to pee! ***
I love BG's peacock fabric quilt! Stunning!
Does BG need any more jars. I found some 3 1/2 x 9" pieces of veggies if she can use them. Those peacock feathers are beautiful. So colorful.
I love going back in time!
I love BG’s canning quilt!
