Michael headed out for golf Monday morning (7/8), while I read until NOON before heading to the studio. Janice turned me on to some books by Anthony Horowitz, and I have now read the first two: THE WORD IS MURDER and THE SENTENCE IS DEATH...excellent!!! I have the next 3 in the series on hold at the library.
I got Sandy’s backing and batting loaded up, but then decided I had better get some stuff cut for quilting this week at Scrap Happy. I need a new project to work on at quilting, and I still have to make a ba-jillion half square triangles for a new quilt I am hot to start, so I got some of my colors cut:
and have just 4 more colors to go. Have you seen these colors before? Yes, but as I explained previously, when I first cut them I had no idea how many were needed for what sized quilt. Then Pam S showed me how to access more information on YOUTUBE, and I realized I needed 1 more cut of each of the 6 fabrics…so those HST’s will be my Thursday project until they are all done.
I got strips cut and finished off a binding for another Beds=Dreams quilt:

Michael went on his usual errand running Tuesday morning (7/9): chiro, liquor store, vitamin store, AT&T store, bird store, bank, library, ARBY’s, other vitamin store, but not before artfully cutting up a pear for me:
I spent an hour in the morning transitioning my Scrap Happy secretarial duties to a new person….YAY!
Then I dropped back to cutting HST’s for Thursday. I got through all of my colors:
and decided I had better concentrate on some projects for the Fiber Floozie retreat in September. I pulled everything together for 2 Stair Steps quilts (I think BG is also going to do one of those), and 1 pieced out quilt top. These are all going to be in browns (men's quilts), so I need to look for something a bit more colorful to work on as well. I think 3 more projects and I should be all set!
By then it was dinnertime and I ate my Italian leftovers while Michael left for the movies.
And, I have 2 gratuitous, totally exciting pictures for you!!! OK...maybe they're only exciting for me...but never-the-less....you're gonna see them. Finally...on July 4th...I finished my first 2 quilts of the year:
-this is a dialysis quilt to be donated
-and now, I will not have to be irritated with myself every time we extend our kitchen table....because I have a beautiful, quilted tablecloth that fits it :~)
-check out the pattern...which took FOREVER to stitch out!!!

What a gorgeous quilting pattern!
I love your new quilted tablecloth! The color is great and the quilt pattern is lovely!
