Michael and Lisa and I sat at the kitchen table Sunday morning (7/14) once again talking about anything and everything under the sun until she left for Mass (thank you Sally!!!)
I got a bit more quilting done before leaving to pick up Sandy and Pam S to head to Matthews for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN:
Here's Pam S being her usual fun self, posing in the stockade outside of the theatre:
The play was wonderful….I would say wickedly funny…the costumes and sets were unbelievable, and we all had a great time. We got home around 7 PM, after a stop at Lorenzo’s for pizza.

I did a bunch of laundry Monday morning (7/15) and did intake on 3 more quilts (yikes!!!) before heading to the studio.
I got the quilting completed on Sandy’s first quilt:
and then got it all cleaned up and off of the frame:
and loaded up her second one:
I got both borders for my 3 yard quilt cut and sewn (there's that convenient storage place again....my embroidery machine!):
and after that, I dropped back to some household chores….I’m having just under 30 people in my house on Friday, and I have some chores scheduled for every day to get ready for it.
Michael and I had leftover pasta for dinner and I knit while watching TV in the evening. Sometimes I feel this shrug collar will NEVER be finished! I’ve been having a lot of pain in my right thumb, so it limits the amount I can knit at any one time.

Michael left super early on Tuesday (7/16) to take my car in for a 30,000 mile check up, while I searched the freezer for some frozen peanut butter cookie dough for an afternoon treat for the weavers/spinners! I got the cookies baked:
and read my book a bit, before heading to the studio to set up the program and kick off quilting on Sandy’s second quilt:
I don't think I have used this pattern before, and I think it may become my new geometric favorite!!!
I am out of a leaders and enders project, so I spent some time cutting 3-1/2’’ solid-ish purple squares to go with crumb blocks I finished years ago:
while I was sewing the 3 yard quilt rows together:
I quit working at 1 PM when the weaving group showed up (of course, Lucy & Ethel were immediately interested in NEW THINGS!!!):
And a new bag:
Rosalie was spinning away with her roving for most of our meeting:
And Pam R is spinning Lucy's cat fur (I gave Pam a bag a couple of weeks ago) and incorporating it into another yarn, since the cat fur won't hold together by itself:
You can see the cat fur spread across her lap:
Carol brought along some art she has been working on:
-this is called a mono-type print
We had a wonderful time talking and everyone stayed until after 4 PM.
Michael and I had leftover pizza for dinner, then he left for the movies, while I knit and watched a NETFLIX movie at home. One good thing is that I held up my shrug for the weaving group and they all think it will be beautiful whenever I finally get it finished :~).
*** Judging by the looks of my hair this morning….I may be a muppet! ***
*** I’m not a 10...I’m more like two 5’s, held together with mashed potatoes. ***
I feel like I’ve been to a lovely Art Festival!
I love all of the art work and your 3 yard quilt colors!
What creative people we know!!!
